Ancient Snow Shan White Tea is one of the rarest and most treasured teas from the high mountains of Northwest Vietnam. Often described as a “white jewel” of the forest, each tea bud captures the purity of nature from Phình Hồ, Yên Bái — a region known for its cool climate, year-round mist, and centuries-old wild tea trees growing deep in the mountains.
1. Origin & Tea Leaves
This white tea is crafted from a single young bud handpicked from ancient Shan tea trees over 300 years old in Phình Hồ, Yên Bái.
The buds are naturally covered in fine white hairs, giving the tea its signature snowy appearance and its name: Snow Shan White Tea. These silver-white buds are a mark of authenticity and purity, grown naturally in the wild without chemicals, pesticides, or synthetic fertilisers.
2. Traditional Handmade Processing
What makes Ancient Snow Shan White Tea truly special is its entirely handmade production process.
Each bud is carefully picked and naturally withered by local Hmong artisans using traditional methods passed down through generations. No industrial machinery is used during processing, helping preserve the tea’s delicate shape, aroma, and natural nutrients.
This gentle craftsmanship creates a tea that feels pure, refined, and deeply connected to nature.
3. Quality Standards & Certifications
Our Ancient Snow Shan White Tea is produced under strict quality and food safety standards, including:
Rainforest Alliance (RA)
FDA Registered (U.S. Food & Drug Administration)

4. Flavour Profile
Ancient Snow Shan White Tea offers a light, elegant flavour inspired by the untouched mountains of Northwest Vietnam.
When brewed, the tea releases delicate floral aromas reminiscent of jasmine, chrysanthemum, wild roses, and fresh mountain herbs.
The first sip is smooth and refreshing, followed by a naturally sweet aftertaste that lingers gently in the throat. Unlike the bold bitterness of green tea or the richness of black tea, this white tea is soft, clean, and calming with a long-lasting sweetness.
Its approachable character makes it enjoyable for both experienced tea drinkers and those new to premium loose-leaf tea.

6. How to Brew Ancient Snow Shan White Tea
Step 1 — Warm Your Teaware
Rinse your teapot or cup with hot water to preheat the vessel and maintain a stable brewing temperature.
Step 2 — Awaken the Tea
Option 1: Place the tea into the warm teapot and cover briefly so the heat gently releases the aroma.
Option 2: Quickly rinse the tea with water at 90–95°C for around 5 seconds, then discard the water.
This helps the buds open evenly and removes any fine dust from processing.
Step 3 — Brew
Use water at approximately 95°C and steep for 30–60 seconds.
For a fuller flavour, extend the steeping time to 2–3 minutes depending on personal preference. You can also experiment with lower temperatures or cold brewing for different flavour expressions.
Step 4 — Enjoy Multiple Infusions
After pouring, leave the lid slightly open to prevent overheating the leaves and preserve the aroma.
From the fourth infusion onward, increase the steeping time by 30–40 seconds each round. High-quality white tea can typically be brewed 6–10 times.
Ancient Snow Shan White Tea is more than just tea — it is the essence of the mountains, the purity of nature, and the craftsmanship of the highland communities of Vietnam.
If you are looking for a clean, elegant tea experience that is both calming and naturally nourishing, Ancient Snow Shan White Tea offers a truly unique taste of the Vietnamese highlands.
